David Lurey was introduced to yoga in 1996 and since then has developed into a talented, focused and caring teacher. Studying different aspects of yoga with various experienced teachers all over the world has deeply prepared David to help you embrace all aspects of your practice. Radiating enthusiasm and love, David teaches Vinyasa Yoga for a connection to the self, AcroYoga for connecting to other humans and Green Yoga as a way to connect more deeply with the planet and cosmos. Motivating music is an important part of this yoga progression. David takes students through opening and often challenging postures while encouraging the magical power of breath and mental stillness to cultivate the true loving nature of the heart. His classes invoke the natural elements in yoga practice to balance active lifestyles with self-reflection and meditation.

Mantra in Action: An Asana Journey Through the Chakras and chanting
Beginning at the root... Ganesha / Muladhara... we will journey through the seven main chakras of
the body with asanas to stimulate physical awareness and mantra singing. Along the way, we
connect to the God / Goddess energies that support our evolution and each Chakra. This is an all
levels class that includes standing and seated postures and singing.
Our Life as a Pencil: An Asana experience themed on a Paulo Coelho short story
An all levels vinyasa class taught in five parts, each representing powerful qualities of a pencil as
they relate to our human life as well. These five aspects, as told from a Grandmother to her
grandson in a Coelho short story, provide valuable insight to making the most of our lives.
PRIVATE SESSIONS WITH DAVID
1) Thai & Fly: This 60 min. session begins with 10-15 of Therapeutic AcroYoga flying with a seamless transition safely to the ground and flowing into a grounding Thai Massage
2) Thai Massage: 60 min. sessions customized to your body that mobilize the joints, work with pressure on the meridians and support the release of tension in muscle groups around the body
3) Private Yoga: Explore a therapeutic approach to Yoga Asana work in customized sessions for your body and needs. We can explore modifications and variations of poses and sequences for many physical challenges and issues as well using this session to ‘deepen your personal practice.’ Pranayama sessions are also available to support you in more conscious breathing if you wish.
